Create a Site
Sites are at the core of the Perfection platform. A site instance is the bridge between your preview site and our platform.
In order for the Perfection overlay to work on your preview application, you need to have a site created in our platform.
Configure a new Site
On the site details screen you can configure some settings related to the functionalities of your site.
Configuration
Under this section, you will find your Site Name
(that you must use alongside your API Keys). You can also set the authorized domains that are able to load Oversite. You can provide one or multiple domains, they should be separated ,
or ;
- without port and http://
or https://
. You can also use *
if you need to allow multiple subdomains or different top-level domains for a site.
Here is an example of a list of authorized domains:
localhost; 127.0.0.1; *.csb.app; *.github.dev; azurewebsites.*
Look and feel
In the Look and Feel section, you can change how the Perfection overlay is displayed on your site. Currently, we offer an option to select the default theme for the overlay on your site, where you can choose between a light and a dark theme. Remember to save your changes after making any modifications.
Perfection Services
In the Perfection Services section, you can enable or disable any of our offered functionalities for this specific site. This allows you to control what a user can do on the preview instances of your application. Remember to save your changes after making any modifications.
Launchpad
In the Launchpad section, you can manage shortcuts that you want to make available to your team from the Perfection Dock
. Consider all the tools you are using in your services (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Design System, Analytics, Performance). You can add or remove any number of shortcuts.
Providers
In the Providers section, you can control which providers are used within your site. You can add or remove any number of providers.
Themes
In the Themes section, you can control which themes can be used on your site. You can add or remove any number of themes.
